Welcome
The mission of the Division of Conservation Planning and Policy is
to provide refuge managers with information and a framework for making
informed decisions and for preparing long-range plans necessary for
the proper administration of the 16 national wildlife refuges in Alaska.
Working cooperatively with refuge staff and other stakeholders helps
us ensure that the recognized priority uses of our refuges—such
as wildlife-dependent recreation and traditional subsistence activities
are protected and that the biological integrity of refuge lands is preserved
for generations to come.
We invite you to explore this web site to learn more about the work
we do.
