Kenai NWR - Current Status and Schedule
The Kenai National Wildlife Refuge is pleased to announce distribution and availability for public comment on its Draft Revised Comprehensive Conservation Plan (Plan) and Environmental Impact Statement (EIS). The Refuge’s interdisciplinary planning team, consisting of U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Alaska Department of Fish and Game, and Alaska Department of Natural Resources staff has been working diligently for the past five years to produce the Draft Plan/EIS. Public involvement in the planning process is essential for development of an effective plan. Please review and provide comment on the plan's contents by September 1, 2008. Comments should be specific, addressing the merits of the alternatives and adequacy of the environmental analysis. We will consider your comments as we prepare the Final Plan.
