Emperor Goose

Almost
all of the world's Emperor Geese nest on the Yukon Kuskokwim Delta. This goose
species continues its slow rebound from a population crash that reached its low
point in 1986. Because Emperor Geese have such a low reproductive potential, it
takes a long time for their numbers to return to normal after an above-normal
portion of the population has been killed off.
