Cackling Goose

Cackling
Geese are the smallest race of Canada Goose in the world, only slightly larger
than a mature drake Mallard, and all of them nest on the Yukon Kuskokwim Delta
within about 15 miles of the coast. Cackling Goose populations were in trouble
during the mid 1980's. But through the cooperation of Native hunters, sport hunters,
and management agencies, their numbers have risen dramatically.
